Festival at Home

 

 Kannawidan has always been part of the life of the people inside ilocos sur and even outside too, some people came from Abra, manila and etc. they take their vacations only to attend the kannawidan festival. Kannawidan is highlighted by the fair that is commonly called “kannawidan” by the people in Vigan. Kannawidan have exciting concerts and beauty pageants, some people also sells  furniture, plants and souvenirs inside kannawidan so this became one of the highlights and the most long awaited festivals in Ilocos sur.

                Pandemic hits us by this so called “coronavirus” many people were affected, died and recovered. This virus puts a scar in our hearts and minds. People are scared of attending kannawidan now because of the fear of having the virus. It affects the lives and the festival also. Well, kannawidan is still open but there’s only few people that is allowed and has the courage to go out. But our government made something fabulous which is making a program online so that you can still see and feel the festival even though your inside your home. Our government came with a plan to still entertain people even though there’s this pandemic.

                Kannawidan maybe delayed or affected but the responses of the government has made a good job in maintaining the excitement and happiness of people.
