To celebrate for the woman who completes HOME
Mother's
Day is a celebration honouring the mother of the family or individual, as well
as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is
celebrated on different days in many parts of the world
Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia,
whose mother had organized women's groups to promote friendship and health, originated
Mother's Day. On May 12, 1907, she held a memorial service at her late mother's
church in Grafton, West Virginia. Within five years virtually every state was
observing the day, and in 1914 U.S. Pres. Mother's Day is celebrated across the
world, in more than 50 countries, though not all countries celebrate it on the
same day. Countries that celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May
include Australia, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey and Belgium.
Today, the holiday remains
grounded in religion, with many churches handing out daffodils for children to
give to Mom. Traditionally, girls also bake a fruitcake for their mothers.
Bring it home: Ask your family to celebrate you on Mother's Day by launching a
new tradition based on one from your own childhood.
Here in the Philippines celebrations
are one of the traditions that are and never will fade in the minds and history
of the country. When it comes to celebrating things or honouring someone there
will always be food or buffets to celebrate or to honour an example of this is
when there’s someone who made an impact on someone or everyone’s life somebody
will celebrate through food. Another thing when Filipinos celebrate mother’s
day they also go to church and greet our mother Virgin Mary then people will
pray for the happiness of their mothers and for protections to their lives and
the rest of the day will be staying at home or going on a tour to make the rest
of the time memorable.
The celebration of mother’s day
throughout the world may took in different forms and different way but the one that really
matter is that to be thankful and to be grateful because god has given us a
mother who completes the one we’re calling HOME.
